Karissa Hamilton-Bannis

Karissa has a BA in English Film and TV from Brunel University; a degree that entailed all the things that excited her the most, reading, writing, movies and TV. During her time as a screenwriting student at the NFTS, Karissa has written several projects, among them short films as well as a ten minute play staged at the Soho theatre. In 2010 she collaborated with director Nandita Jain on the animated short THE STORYTELLER, which premiered at the Edinburgh film festival and has been playing many major festivals since.

As a writer specializing in feature film and TV content, Karissa presides over ZAK Film's development slate. She's a big comic book fan and believes there should be a good comic book movie about a woman, preferably written by her.
